Is It Friday Yet??

I’m so ready for the week end. I have all these ideas for finishing projects I just want to get started with no interruptions. I'm just not interested after I get off work especially since I still have dinner to do. So I’m working on exchanges and gifts which means I don’t have any current pictures to show. I keep thinking I’ll take updated pics of what I'm working on but by the time I get home my mind has moved on the other things.

Since I don’t have any new pics to show I’m going to post the oldest UFO in my stash.

Leisure Arts from 1971 – I have 3 and a half of the small ones done. Still need to do the big one. What do you think the chances are you’ll see this finished in my life time? What would I do with them if I finished them?

First Round for the Year Long Prairie Schooler Exchange

I received my first ever pynkeep. It’s from Karen D and now hangs in my sewing room.

This is the Pynpillow that I sent to Cyndi. I changed the fiber colors to match the fabric and stuffed it with wool batting to protect the pins from rusting.

Thanks for stopping by
Have a great week.

It's Friday Yippie

It’s overcast and looks like rain again today. I was hoping for a nice weekend but it doesn’t look good so far.
The promised update on Hanna the Happy is a bust. One I forgot to take the picture and two I forgot to bring my flash drive to work. So no picture of Hanna today.
I did finish the Halloween ornie I was working on
but
then I just had to start a Christmas ornie from the JCS 2009. I have all the supplies for Twitter Blue by Courtney Collection so I have two rows done. Oh well 1 out of 24 started.

Blast from the past
The catch up part of my blog

These are the exchanges from Round one of the Christmas Ornament Swap that just ended.
I mailed to Edgar:
Prairie Schoolar Noah’s Ark Stocking.
Stitched over one on 18 count linen from Zweigart with DMC
Then I received from Amy, this beautiful Santa Moon ornament.
It’s wonderfully stitched and finished.
A great big Thank You hug to Amy and a prominent place on my Christmas tree for the ornie.
Thank you for coming by, please leave a comment I love to read them

It’s here It’s here!!

My JCS Christmas Ornament issue.

I spent over an hour just drooling over all the beautiful ornys. There are at least 4 on each page I want to stitch. This is going to be soooo hard to decide.
I think I will see how much of the fabric and fibers I can find in my stash and that will determine which ones I start first.
I know I will do the Brook’s Books – Stitchy Claus, Cindy Valentine Designs – Homespun Christmas, The Workbasket – Christmas Forest and The Prairie Schooler, Inc – Frosty Fun.
I also have four exchanges. Whew, I'll be busy.
Now for catching up!!

Becky found out that I have never stitched a Lizzie Kate, so wonderful person that she is, she sent me my first ever Lizzie Kate Designs. She is such a thoughtful friend and her groups are such fun that I wish the whole world could share the comfort of good stitching friends.

I have already stitched Fright Night but not completed the flat fold so no pics of it yet and I hope to start Great White Pumpkin next.

This is Just Nan’s Fraidie Frog I finished stitching it but have not made up the orny yet . I've started the other JN from the 2008 Halloween issue but no snap yet.
I was supposed to stitch on my HEAD QS Morgana le fey last night but I just forgot and stitch on a Halloween ornys instead.

I am still stitching on Hanna the Happy at work. This is an old picture I'll do a new one tonight when I get home to show my progress.
My Blast From The Past
This is my attempt to catch up on all the posts I have meant to but didn't.
Hooked On Exchanging
"Summer House Exchange"

Gabi, sent me this beautiful stitching book. The design is from LHN "Season of Growth"
This is the most wonderful exchange, she must have spent mountains of time making this into the perfect gift. The fabric is a beautiful large stripe.

Inside there are pockets for everything, scissors, thimble and pencil, a felt needle minder, rings for thread and a pouch for the hoop.

Gabi, Thank You for such a wonderful exchange.

I love it when you leave messages. I hope to learn how to send emails back to let you know how much I appreciate them.
Have a blessed week

In Rememberance

September 11, 2001, I watched in horror as the US was attacked. I will always remember the heroes and the victims. Thank you all from you sacrifices.
