Recent Stitching and Stuff
I'll get back to it tomorrow but when I received the new Inspirations Magazine I found two great projects that just screamed my name. They are both by USA artists the first is Japanese Kogin embroidery by Phyllis Maurer I started on Saturday and made this much progress already. I used fibers and fab from my stash it is 25 count something and dark mauve pearl 8. It will probably be a stitching rollup. I've needed one for some time and had planed to use a purchased place mat to make it but this looks like more fun.
And it has a very easy article on Japanese temari balls with great instruction for one call Oliver Twist. The article is by Barbara Suess You can see the picture on here site. DH is doing the core and yarn wrap for me. I'm thinking a black string wrap with olive green pearl cotton. This looks to become an addition.
It's back to work the slave drivers want me to earn my paycheck. Geeezzz
Thanks for stopping by I love to get comments Please!!

Exchange Received from Wendy Jo

This adorable floss tag is my first ever. I'm so happy it has my name and bees and it's really neat.It came with sooo many goodies that I really feel spoiled. Two packages of Piecemakers needles, three GAST threads in red, green & white just what I need for Christmas ornies, plus some 28 count putty linen and Christmas fabric for backing ornie too. In the right corner is the cutest little scissor pouch with a drawstring top. What a perfect little carry around for scissors.
This all came on Monday but when DH picked up the mail the phone in his office was ringing and he carried the mail into his office. He didn't remember the package until another package came on Thursday so he just gave me both envelopes at the same time. He didn't fess up until this morning when I made a point of asking. WELL he's in the dog house for the day and maybe the whole weekend. Thanks you Wendy Jo for a great exchange gift. Sorry it took so long to acknowledge.
